Nari is a fixed Maine Coon cat we brought home from the local shelter a couple of years ago. Here she is spending a nice warm afternoon keeping an eye on the hummingbirds on my NW Oregon Farm. Her name just kind'a popped into my head.
*Shari's work explores the relationship between Trompe l'oeil and surreal Abstracts. With influences as diverse as Leonardo da Vinci and Buckminster Fuller, new variations are generated from both explicit and implicit dialogues. Ever since she was a child, Shari has been fascinated by the theoretical limits of all Art. What starts out as vision soon becomes contemporaneously into a hegemony of wild abandonment, leaving only a sense of peace or chaos with the stroke of a pen and with the likelihood of a new reality. Shari, First and foremost, thank you for allowing me to view your artwork and then leave a few comments, my thoughts about it: I once had a Maine Coon Cat, his name was Heather, yep miss named him because he was love bug, big furry and very gentle. I like the photo, mostly because of the angle of the shot, I like that aspect. The lighting is good, as is the clarity of the cat, and for me the character that I liked about Heather comes through to me in the photo. I thinks it's the lighting, the colors and the balance within the composition between the cat and the background that also makes it appealing. Have great day... Cheers! Lucien
